If we want to see more Black Arts, we need to make these programs successful financially. We should all go to the Metropolitan Opera and shout, “¡Bravo!” Seriously. ![]() And they are not just saying it, they are implementing it. Classical music leaders tend to be old White men, but the Met gets it. The Met is working on racial and gender equity. Tickets at įrench Canadian music director Yannick Nézet-Séguin leads the company again. Whether the season can take place or not depends entirely on the state of the COVID-19 pandemic, but for now, it is on. The Metropolitan Opera has announced its 2021-22 season and season tickets are on sale.
